Niklas Walentin & The Snorre Kirk Trio was established in 2022, on recommendation of 4-time grammywinner, violinist Bjarke Falgren.

Aside of violinist Niklas Walentin, it consists of three of the greatest names on the current Scandinavian Jazz Scene; pianist Filip Ekestubbe, bassist and songwriter Anders Fjeldsted and of course drummer and composer Snorre Kirk.

The group has over the past years established itself for the highly individual repertoire, which successfully walks the fine line between the worlds of classical music and jazz.

After releasing their first critically acclaimed jazz album, celebrating danish jazz star Svend Asmussen, Niklas Walentin & The Snorre Kirk Trio continues to produce virtuosic jazz arrangements that embodies the famous pyrotechnical possibilities of the classic violin with the finest from the language of jazz.
